Just 5 minutes walking from Urbany Hostel, in the opposite direction to the Cathedral, you will find Alameda Neighborhood. The long and large square is the meeting place for many sevillian people, so this is a good place to go if you don't like to be just another tourist.

A bit of history...

This place was a swampy area until the 16th century, Earl of Barajas ordered to plant big trees and build beautiful fountains.  He adorned the square with four roman colums found in an old sevillian house. The two in the northside, with lions and coats of arms on the top, represents one Seville, and the other one Spain. The two colums in the southside have Hércules on the top (founder of the city) and Julius Caesar (restorer of Seville).
