Thanks to Arab culture, nowadays we can still enjoy, moments and feelings of our past. There is a palace in Santa Cruz neighbourhood, the Jewish quarter of Seville, restored to offer their customers relaxation, silence and peace. This palace was built by a Viceroy in the 16th century. When the building was restored, there was found an ancient Arab bath in one of the rooms.
The Easter week is the period of time from Palm Sunday until Easter Sunday. During this week, we remember the Passion, Death and The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Easter week is one of the most important times of year in Seville because of its tradition…

A basic definition of the April Fair would be: a big amount of tents and fairground attractions located near Los Remedios quarter... But the April fair is more than that: it is the big party in Seville; it is the Festival in capital letters. The Sevilla April Fair is happiness, colour, dancing, music, orange blossom, flavour, passion... it is Seville itself in the most important local festival in the city.

Depeche Mode is an English electronic music band, formed in Basildon (Essex) in 1980. They are considered the best in this type of music. They are the precursor of the use of the sampler and the synthesizer as musical instruments. After a long musical career, they still have a great prestige in the whole world. They sold over 100 million records!!
This is the 3rd time Cirque du Soleil visits Seville. This time with the show called Varekai, a Romanian word that means “Wherever”.
Varekai opens in Seville on January, 29, and ends the 15th of March. It is located under the Grand Chapiteau, at Charco de la Pava.

The well-known Alfalfa Square is not far away from our hostel in Seville. Here, backpackers will find all they need about Alfalfa neighbourhood. It is famous because of the different kind of markets have been there for long time. Meat’s market, vegetable and fruit’s market, animal food’s market, and animal’s market were the different types that the square has met. 
Just 5 minutes walking from Urbany Hostel, in the opposite direction to the Cathedral, you will find Alameda Neighborhood. The long and large square is the meeting place for many sevillian people, so this is a good place to go if you don't like to be just another tourist. A bit of history... This place was a swampy area until the 16th century, Earl of Barajas ordered to plant big trees and build beautiful fountains. He adorned the square with four roman colums found in an old sevillian house. The two in the northside, with lions and coats of arms on the top, represents one Seville, and the other one Spain. The two colums in the southside have Hércules on the top (founder of the city) and Julius Caesar (restorer of Seville).
